A FRENCH-LEBANESE WEDDING IN GORDES

Todays wedding is an absolute stunner, a beautiful Boho Luxe wedding full of wonderful details in the gorgeous location Gordes, Provence. The wedding has been sent into me by the wedding planner Dites Moi Oui who did such an amazing job in putting together such a beautiful day, and has been captured perfectly by Ingrid Lepan. I just adore everything about this day, from the brides dress, the church ceremony, the outdoor reception, the tablescapes, the olive trees and gypsophila, to the evening dancing and beautiful lighting. Such an amazing day that I know you are going to love a msuch as I do.

Joy and Jihad have actually been knowing each other for many years. In fact, the groom-to-be is Joy’s sister-in-law’s childhood friend, Mathilde. The two young people have then often met at birthday parties or any other celebration. But the meeting that made their heart capsize happened at Mathilde’s bachelorette party. From this moment, the two lovers were inseparable. 3 years and 7 round trips to Lebanon later (the groom coming from the beautiful country), Jihad proposed to his beautiful fiancée in Beyrouth, in a stunning hotel they both love : The Albergo.

From this time, everything went very fast. Our future groom did not want to wait too long before saying ‘I do’ to his great love. Thinking about the wedding, doing all the preparation and everything ? Not for him. So they decided their wedding would be celebrated 6 months later! The choice of the place was very easy. They have always wanted to get married in the South of France. But where exactly? In order to have a better idea, they contacted Dites Moi Oui, our wedding organising agency, specialised in the region. The wedding planners Géraldine and Amandine found them an ideal location : The Villa Aqua in Gordes, a small typical village, nestled in the heart of the region of Luberon. They were so thrilled they decided to reserve the place, without a second thought.

The D-Day took place in 2 steps. First, the ceremony was celebrated in the village church, then the reception took place at the Villa Aqua. All family and friends were there to share this beautiful day with the newlyweds. The decoration, made of little olive trees surrounded by bouquets of gypsophilas was lovely and reminded very precisely the Provence landscape. The food was fabulous and you were gently rocked by the music played by the live band. Everybody was delighted.
